I think I first met Jason and Rachel when they came to my Portraits for Mission’s fundraiser 3 years ago. Little did I know that someday I would get to do their wedding! The whole day was nice, but as a photographer, my favorite part by far was the photos we got to do in this amazing golden field. I often spend a good amount of time before shoots scouting out different locations, and this was no exception. I had planned two different locations to go to in the span between the ceremony and reception. However, I hadn’t mapped directions from the church the night before, so I quickly pulled up the routes on my iPhone as we left. About halfway to the first location I saw this field and decided it was way better than both the other places I planned, so we pulled off the side of the road and did all the photos there.
Everyone must have thought you guys were movie stars with the big stretch limo on the dirt shoulder and two photographers clicking away out in the field. I LOVE it. I think some of these photos will end up as very large canvas prints somewhere on my walls!
I don’t normally use the same song for the engagement photos as the wedding slideshow, but since they played it at their reception it fit too perfectly! Enjoy the SLIDESHOW
