Thursday morning Suzy and I arrived to 105 degrees in Palm Springs California for the Resolved Conference. I’m all about the heat, so to me it feels great! But I feel sorry for the people here who don’t enjoy it so much. =).
It was really fun over the past few days to see the rest of the stage come together and see the excitement building as people began to arrive. Suzy and I were talking and it’s interesting finding out where a lot of the people come from and how they found out about Resolved. Suzy was telling me how when she was in youth group in high school in a small town in Kentucky the only imaginable equivalent to a conference like this was a Friday night lock in with a weak sauce 20 min sermon, a lot of games, and kids making out in the closet. When you take a mental picture of that small town equivalent it makes me wish every college student could know that there was such depth of teaching, dynamic singing, and great fellowship available. Suzy was telling me the whole thing is honestly beyond anything she could have imagined or hoped for when she was in that small town in Kentucky. It makes me very grateful to have that available at my church every week. It also makes me want others to come and experience it here for a personal revival and a a taste of what God offers us as Christians.
All said you can sign up for Resolved next year for a discounted rate until next Tuesday. http://www.Resolved.org
