  • WELCOME!

Welcome to the blog! If the banner doesn't make it obvious enough I'll just spill the beans and let you know that we are a full time husband and wife wedding photography team. We love life, God, weddings, and if you slide over our names to the left you'll note a few other things we love.

We are based out of Los Angeles, and when I say that, I mean our studio is right in the smack dab center of downtown. However, if you start browsing through the blog history you will soon note that we shoot weddings all over the country and world. We put a lot into making our images so I hope you enjoy checking some of them out!

If you're up for having a great time at your wedding, and our photos have the look you are going for, then feel free to shoot us a note and we would love to chat some more!

Date Night!

It’s pretty rare Suzy and I will have a weekend with no shoots, and nothing else planned. When we do, we often fall into the habit of catching up on work projects or planning so many “fun” things that we stress ourselves out doing them all. But this last weekend was one of those perfect weekends that had a mix of fun and relaxing. A mix of time with friends, and time with family, and most importantly NO WORK! I think for me it’s often easy to forget how vital an occasional weekend like that can be in your marriage.

I won’t go into all the details but I had these photos on my camera so I thought I would do a quick post on how it began. On Friday evening we finished up all our critical projects around 5:00pm, got dressed (yes when you work from home you only get dressed when you leave the house), and the weekend really began in the driveway. Not on the steps, not at the front door, but at the car door. Guys, girls are precious. Especially your wife. I mean she committed herself to live with you, and to even like you! So if you have a chance, opening the car door is a great way to show her you think she is special. I forget to do it more often than I should, but I always win when I do, and it’s a great way to start off an evening.

We only go to the movies 2-3 times a year, but when there is something worth seeing we really love it. In this case some of our AWESOME clients gave us some free movie tickets and there was a film we really wanted to see.

On the way we decided to treat ourselves to our favorite pre movie snack. For me that was of course In-n-Out and for Suzy it was ice cream.

The rest of the weekend was a blur of happy memories and really did leave us refreshed and ready for another fun week of inspiration! Check back tomorrow for some awesome photos we got at a Johnny Appleseed shoot we just did! I LOVE my wife! =)

M'Lyn Spinks - From someone blissfully married 26 years, I love this post. Stories of nurturing your marriage are just as important as how you met and sharing them with others gives witness to God’s blessings of a spouse.

Sister Casebolt - So fun :-) Even with bustling kids into the car now too Ben still opens the car door for me, that is if I remember to let him do so, hehe

Diana - Excellent Date with your wife. And thank you for all the encouragement you just gave all those men. I taught all my boys this at a young age, also letting them know that if a woman appreciates it, she will say “Thank you, what a gentleman”. Number 3 son’s first experience with an elderly woman? That is exactly what she said! He looked at me with such excitment. Girls, take a listen and remember to say “Thank you!” *~*

Heather - Aww… I love it!
