The leaves had already begun to change, but it was still warm enough for short sleeves. Meghan had told us her friend Kathy would pick us up from the airport. She had asked her friend Kathy if she could pick up a couple from Los Angeles. When we arrived at baggage claim Kathy greeted us and said she really had no idea what we would look like, but figured a young married couple from Los Angeles would stick out enough in a Kansas airport that they would be easy to spot. I guess she was right!
Meghan & Husky’s wedding was at a gorgeous ranch that had such a wonderful country feel to it! The biggest thing that stuck out to me about the day was the overwhelming excitement Meghan & Husky had to get married. Husky kept saying things that conveyed how he thought he was the luckiest guy in the whole world to get to marry Meghan. On the flip side Meghan was overflowing with smiles that Husky wanted to marry her! It was a great feel, and produced a lot of joy throughout the day!
In addition to all the fun at the wedding, our good friends Rick & Kim Holland asked us to stay at their house for the weekend. Rick actually married Suzy and I almost exactly two years earlier. So we had a blast reminiscing and catching up on old times. We also enjoyed some pretty amazing Kansas BBQ.
Thanks again for having us out, and be sure to check out the Storybook Slideshow here.
One of the ladies asked Meghan’s brother to hold her lipstick. I guess he decided that horse needed some. Horse lips are pretty germ free right?

Michelle Peterson - Do you want to know something CRAZY? You know those cool white chinese lanterns hanging in the reception hall? Those were the lanterns we bought for our wedding that Lone Summit Ranch liked so much they bought from us to put up permanently! :) We were married there 4 1/2 yrs ago! It was such a lovey place for a wedding and reception!
