Bob & Haley {Engagement Photos} – California

There are two things that always make engagement photos great. Number one is a couple who is in love. If you’re not in love it’s really difficult to make it look like it in the photos. Second are couples who are willing to step off the sidewalk. Occasionally I have couples tell me they are “up for anything” when it comes to their photos. But when I suggest we step off the sidewalk and walk on the grass (the mowed grass in the yard) they tell me that might be going “too far”.

Bob and Haley are both in love. I mean they are really in love. This beautiful, simple, excited, happy, young love. It makes me smile just thinking about it. They are also both willing to step off the sidewalk. In fact they were willing to climb down a hill, walk through a marsh full of mud and jump in a lake. Now that’s commitment to something different and fantastic. And you know what? I enjoyed jumping in the lake as well! Yup, those photos weren’t from a boat!
