“It’s like drinking from a fire hose, I can’t wait to go out and try it all!” That’s the most common comment we have gotten from our Photography 101 attendees. So who is this workshop for? It’s for anyone from first time SLR users, up to those who have been shooting with an SLR for awhile but still aren’t completely comfortable with how to integrate Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO, Kelvin Temperature, White Balance, Focus Points, Back Button Focus, and AI Servo/One Shot all together to create images. In other words if you don’t know what every button on your camera does, and how it affects your photos, than this is the class for you.
What will we be doing? Well, we will start off at our studio right in the heart of downtown LA around 9:00am on Saturday 9/1/12. (click here to see the studio). We will have a few hours of lecture and look at a lot of photos up on the big screen. This is very interactive, and we always make sure everyone is tracking as we go. This is where we go in depth on how to use an SLR. It’s also when we drink our Starbucks.
After the morning lecture, lunch will be provided at the studio. Then the adventure begins. Right outside is an escalator that goes down into the depths of the earth. If you grew up in the Los Angeles suburbs and haven’t ever seen public transportation, it’s called a subway. We will all take the subway down the track two stops for some practice shooting with a few models at the gorgeous Union Station. (the price also includes your subway ticket).
After the shoot, we’ll all take the subway back to the studio and your cars and will be done around 5:00pm. Don’t worry it’s all very safe and fun.
So to sum up what does this include?
1. Interactive SLR lecture, and everything you need to know to create great images in camera.
2. Lunch
3. Tour of downtown Los Angeles, the Subway, & Union Station
4. Models and one on one shooting instruction

Total price for all of the above is $99, or you can bring a friend (with one camera between you) for an extra $75.
