We arrived in Washington D.C. a few days before the wedding and the weather was just too amazing to not spend some time outdoors. We were staying with Suzy’s sister Anneke on Capital Hill, but decided it would be more fun to get out of the city and go on a little mini vacation / road trip to a cabin by a lake in West Virginia. I should admit I didn’t really look at map to see how far West Virginia was from D.C., and I also missed one exit which cost us an extra hour. But all said I think we made it there in less than seven hours.
I rarely take my camera out when we are camping or going on dates, but this was just too pretty and too much fun not to take a few photos! Thanks for the random road trip Anneke! Check back in the next few days for the wedding images, and one more fun bonus shoot we had a chance to do while we were on the East coast!
Did you West Virginia people miss winter this year? There must not have been any snow since the lake looks kind of low!
Gourmet pizza and home brewed root beer. Yum!
Coffee & Bacon. Do you really need anything else for breakfast?
Suzy found a random magazine laying around with a photo of her twin!
