Wow it has been a busy couple of weeks for us! Launching of the new site, the new logo, new blog, new fb page, we both serve in high school ministry at our church so end of the year graduations, a couple weddings here plus one in VA, and much much more coming up in the next few weeks! We are super excited to get some of these shoots up on the blog. But for today I thought it would be fun to share this pretty awesome story.
I love to read. And our church has a pretty awesome bookstore filled with amazing resources for questions I have all the time as I seek to know God better. A few weeks ago, I was in the bookstore buying a few Christian books to give to the seniors in my high school small group as a graduation present. Then I saw it. “Worship, the ultimate priority.” by John MacArthur. I had seen this book featured in a pamphlet and had wanted it ever since. I picked up the book, desperately wanting to buy it, but talked myself out of it since I had just spent quite a bit in the bookstore. Sadly I turned away.
Fast forward two weeks. We’re back from shooting our VA wedding this past weekend. I walk into the living room to unpack my laptop, and happen to glance over at the bookshelf. Right there, on the third shelf down, was a white book with huge black letters on it that said, WORSHIP. “It can’t be.” I thought. I quickly pulled the book out, and sure enough, there was the book I had so desperately wanted to buy. Excitedly, I asked Lukas where we got it, but he had no idea.
We get books from conferences we go to, people send us books in the mail, we have hundreds of people through our house every year and seminary friends give us extra books all the time. But neither of us remembered ever getting this book or seeing it before. I have no idea where this book came from, but I am SO excited it appeared and cannot wait to finish reading it!!
