Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!! I am so excited to finally post our St. Patrick’s Day Wedding Inspiration Stylized Shoot. As a photographer, there are times when I get a certain image in my head, and there are times that that image refuses to leave. It’s amazing when I can take that image in my head and turn it into a photograph. That’s how stylized shoots are for me. I don’t think to myself, I should plan a stylized shoot. It’s that daydream that refuses to leave my head until I turn it into a reality. That’s how this shoot was born.
I daydreamed about a shoot that was almost unearthly, romantic, and mysterious. In my head I saw misty hills, raw rugged untouched beauty, and a redhead-irish bride standing with her groom. With St. Patrick’s day around the corner, I got the help of my friend Bailey from Antiquaria to put together a tablescape for me to incorporate green viney earthy tones yet keep everything subtle and elegant so that the inspiration could be used beyond the holiday. Bailey used table settings from her vintage gift registry collection, so if you are a bride you can actually register for what you see.
I am so thankful for my incredible team that worked with me on this project. Bailey not only styled the decor, but also did the gorgeous paper goods so make sure to check out her design work here. Sweet Violets did an amazing job on all the floral arrangements – how gorgeous is that crown?! Thank you to Beautiful Faces by Denise, and Alex West for the hair and makeup, Joanne Paucar for the cupcakes, Christine & Rich of the Yodsukars for being our gorgeous couple, and Liz of Starthrower Photography for the behind the scenes video you must check out at the end of this post. Thank you to Pocket Square Clothing for our groom’s tie and pocket square, and Deborah Lindquist, whose gowns are the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen. Deb, each gown you create goes perfectly with the shoots I envision! And thank you To Brittney and Laura for your day of carrying and getting things for me ;). You all are the best!
And if you didn’t see it, this shoot was just featured here on Style Me Pretty!
